Well Tropical Storm Edouard made his presence known on Tuesday morning. The storm really started to move into our area around 7 AM and the rain and wind lasted until about 4 PM. We lost power for a few hours, but luckily it was back on before it got too hot. We had over 6.5 inches of rain in our area and the pool was overflowing. The archway in the back yard broke, but other than that we were pretty lucky. In fact most parts of Houston did not flood, which is amazing since Houston floods so easily!
We are headed to East Texas this weekend to meet our new nephew Carson. I cannot wait to hold him and see his tiny hands and feet. I mean our baby is so big now that it is hard to remember what a newborn is like. I will post photos of him once we return. Plus Nana is coming back with us for the week and I am sure Elena cannot wait to spend a week with her Nana! I am sure I will get some other great photos next week that I will post.
